These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of meanwhilehistory.com and your purchase of digital products from Meanwhile History. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them before you buy.

WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

Meanwhile History sells digital products only. Nothing is shipped. The Same-Time History System is a set of downloadable files: the Same-Time Timeline as 9 PDFs, one per era, in A4 and US Letter; the same timeline as a sortable spreadsheet (.xlsx) and a CSV file; three PDF volumes (Turning Points, Your Ancestors' World and Deep Time); the Start Here guide; the printable Wall Timeline; and the Same-Time Finder card. The exact contents are listed on the product page at the time of purchase.

DELIVERY

Files are delivered instantly. After payment you receive your download link on the confirmation page and by email, normally within a minute. If the email does not arrive, or a link stops working, email us at hello@meanwhilehistory.com and we will restore your access. Once downloaded, everything works offline. You do not need to create an account.

NEW VERSIONS

When we publish a new version of a product you bought, for example with new entries, new countries or corrections, you get it free. We send it by email to the address you used at checkout.

LICENCE

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the files. You may use them on any device you own, print them for personal and household use as many times as you like, and display the Wall Timeline in your home.

• You may not resell, redistribute, share, publish or upload the files themselves, in whole or in part, whether free or paid.
• You may not include the files, or any substantial part of them, in another product, bundle, course or database.

PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices on this website are shown in US dollars. At checkout you may see the price in your local currency. Payment is processed securely by our payment providers through the Shopify checkout; we never see or store your full card details. Prices and product contents may change at any time. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Discount codes apply only when entered at checkout and cannot be applied afterwards.

REFUNDS

Every purchase is covered by our 90-day "See How It All Fits" guarantee. One email, no form, nothing to return. The full terms are on our Refund Policy page.

YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS IN THE EU AND UK

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once the download begins, provided you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal. By completing checkout and downloading the files, you give that consent. This does not affect your other statutory rights, and it does not limit our 90-day guarantee, which is more generous than the law requires.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The selection and arrangement of the entries, the text, the timelines, the volumes, the design and the data compilation are the property of Meanwhile History and are protected by copyright. Historical facts belong to no one: each entry names and links the source it comes from. Images of historical artworks and documents are in the public domain; their credits are on the Image Credits page and in the product.

ACCURACY

History is researched, debated and revised. Every entry links to its source, and dates for distant events are often approximate, marked "c." or "about". We check our entries carefully, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is free of error. If you find a mistake, tell us at hello@meanwhilehistory.com: we will check it against the sources and fix it in the next version, which you get free.

DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The products are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

CHANGES

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Material changes apply to purchases made after the change.
